About Us
Backed by 25 years of experience in the washing and dyeing business, United Wash and Dye, Inc. was established in 2014. We are located in the city of Huntington Park, CA, about 5 miles South East of Downtown LA. We offer over 30,000 sq. feet of work space between two buildings, one building is used for the sole purpose of processing denim; the second building is used for dyeing. We offer a variety of services ranging from basic washes, such as regular wash, stone wash, enzyme wash, to more complicated treatments that need destruction , whiskers, tint, and tie-dyeing. We have an estimated production capacity of 15,000-25,000 garments per week in dye and 10,000-25,000 in denim depending on complexity of wash. Sustainability
We understand the importance of sustainability and have therefore implemented different methods and practices in order to preserve energy, water, chemicals and gas. We have worked with programs that utility companies offer in order to minimize our impact on the environment. Some of the changes we have implemented in the past few years are:
- Installed new, state of the art ozone machine that saves water, energy and gas
- Replaced all lights bulbs at the facility with Edison low consumption energy light bulbs
- Replaced all toilets with low flush toilets to save water
- Use low-impact dyes
- Have all steam lines insulated to save gas consumption
- Recycle all metals, plastic, cans used at the laundry
- Combine washing and dyeing processes in order to minimize water and energy usage
- Educate all employees on the importance of sustainability
- Purchase various supplies from bluesign approved vendors
Giving Back
At United Wash, we not only contribute to sustainability, but we also contribute financially to charities and volunteer at local children’s hospitals. We have participated in numerous events such as Thanksgiving Outreach program to sponsor families for a meal for thanksgiving, helped local toy drives gather gifts for Christmas and have donate clothing and food supplies to local charities.
